These photographs are my way to show how I feel about my grandfather. He has many moods, and there is also a timeless quality about his features, his textured face and proud demeanor, his gruff voice and stout frame. My grandfather always has a story to tell and a lesson to teach. I am sure I won't have enough time with him to hear them all. But the ones I do hear will be remembered for my lifetime.

This series of photos describes my attraction to line, which probably stems from my architectural background. Strong lines or vectors within these photographs seem to create a sense of solidity in form as well as shape. This series of photos was taken on Lake Nokomis in South Minneapolis, were I have grew up. I have walked these paths a hundred times, and still find hidden treasures buried beneath its wild undergrowth. Childhood memories come flooding back to me as I walked down the lake path toward a bridge that I have passed over many times but still find the beauty within.

These images are to provide a glimpse into the world of Uptown Minneapolis. I find Uptown to be very eclectic. You see such a blend of people there. For example, on one side of the street walks an ordinary middle class family, hand in hand, on the other side of the street walks a woman, with a shaved head and a nose ring. I find the contrasts of people in their places fascinating.
