Science Museum of Minnesota
The project was to produce a guide that would allow people to find their way into and around the museum in an easier way. The previous guide was too busy, and had too many symbols displaying floors, exhibit halls, and locations, outside the visitor guide had far too much information about current events displayed on it.
The first step was to strip the fat off the previous guide and develop a better navigation system. After that was done, color choices and orientations were made which led to a final concept.

This set of two posters visually describes two of my favorite graphic designers from different time periods. Alexander Rodchenko took his constructivist works to a level that amazed me so much that I had to buy several of his books, my design relayed his sense of art for the community and loyalty to his country. Art Chantry was the guerrilla designer of record albums, flyers, and posters that brought the punk movement to the forefront of design. His sense of combining old and new is represented with the split head and a sense of history and risk in his mind.

This project was the culmination of several weeks of revisions that took place over the course of my graphic design III class while I was in school. It reflects the human tendency to walk blindly into danger without first taking all the consequences into account. I especially enjoy the mixing of time periods, which our teacher strictly enforced.
